The theme of the conference is \u201cE\u201d novation and Communities in English Language Teaching. We welcome presentations, workshops, and poster sessions from all sectors of the English Language Teaching field. Not only do we wish to explore the ELT in Thailand, but also in Asia and throughout the world as a whole. Our goal is to open the way for in-depth discussions, debates, and the sharing of ideas that will enable more enlightened classroom practices for the benefit of all EFL\/ESL students. Proposals addressing the conference theme will receive first consideration.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rationale<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What does the letter, \u201cE\u201d mean to English language teachers? Many would say,\u201d E-Learning\u201d<br \/>\nThe E acronym in the field In fact can go quite far, from the context of teaching like EFL and ESL to, EIIL, EAL, ESOL, EOL, ELF and the latest just coined by Jun Liu at TESOL 2012 EEL or English for everywhere language. In learning a new language we emphasize the importance of being exposed to the language, echoing other speakers, engaging in learning activities and elaboration and extension of language communication.<\/p>\n<p>In the process of educating ourselves and others, we explore and evaluate our learning to assess our effectiveness. We enhance our teaching and learning by integrating the electronic medium to the human factor. Like other human activities, language teaching and learning are complex, often unsystematic, entailing the interconnectivity of all the E variables and unfolding in the community of teaching and learning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Thailand TESOL 2013 conference aims to:<\/p>\n<p>1) strengthen the perceived value of \u201cE\u201d novation among teachers in Thailand, from pre-service teacher trainees to veterans, both national and international;<\/p>\n<p>2) brainstorm teachers \u2019experiences to improve teaching and learning in the real or virtual classroom situations as teachers, teacher educators and policy makers;<\/p>\n<p>3) foster discussions, reflections and networks to assist professional teachers in English language teaching communities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presenters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Presenting at Thailand TESOL is a way for all English language educators to take an active role in teaching profession, to share knowledge, and to learn from the experiences and challenges of others.<br \/>\nWe welcome themes that are related, but not limited, to the following ELT fields:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Culture\/ Intercultural Issues<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum and Materials Development<\/li>\n<li>English for Specific Purposes<\/li>\n<li>Grammar<\/li>\n<li>Identities\/ Learner Autonomy<\/li>\n<li>Integrated Skills<\/li>\n<li>Literature<\/li>\n<li>Linguistics<\/li>\n<li>Professional Development<\/li>\n<li>Research-based Stream<\/li>\n<li>Testing<\/li>\n<li>Teaching Young Learners<\/li>\n<li>Teaching Speaking<\/li>\n<li>Teaching Listening<\/li>\n<li>Teaching Reading<\/li>\n<li>Teaching Writing<\/li>\n<li>Using Technology<\/li>\n<li>Vocabulary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Poster sessions should be non-commercial.
