The Director of this Centre ,\u00a0\u00a0Prof. P.C. Kar\u00a0\u00a0has recently been honoured with\u00a0<em>2012 Nicolas Guillen Lifetime Achievement Award\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0The Workshop sessions will be conducted by Prof. Bruce Kodish , a renowned American scholar of\u00a0Korzybskian approach to Semantics.<\/p>\n<p>The Seminar-Workshop will provide a balance of theory and personal practice in the approach to understanding and improving human evaluating strategies as advocated by Alfred Korzybski.<\/p>\n<p>By \u2018General Semantics\u2019 Korzybski\u00a0\u00a0intended \u2018general theory of evaluation\u2019. He had also referred to it as an \u2018up-to-date Epistemology\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The workshop discussions will mainly focus on<\/p>\n<p>(i)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Humans\u00a0\u00a0as Time-Binding Class of Life\u2019<\/p>\n<p>(ii)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Aristotlian v\/s Non-Aristotlian Orientations<\/p>\n<p>(iii)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0What constitutes a \u2018Scientific Attitude\u2019\u00a0\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>(iv)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Non-Verbal Awareness<\/p>\n<p>(v)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Personal Development and Professional Applications and Research.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>* Registration fee\u00a0: Rs.1000\/- to be paid by each participant by 05 January 2013 through a bank DD made in favour of<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBalvant Parekh Centre for General Semantics and Other Human Sciences\u201d payable at Baroda .<\/p>\n<p>The fee will take care of the cost of reading material , lunch , &amp; tea during the Workshop<\/p>\n<p>* For<strong>\u00a0accommodation<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0\u00a0JNU , Jaipur Campus , participants may contact the local Coordinator, Prof. K.K.
