The theme of the conference is &#8220;Cultivating the Skill of Reading: a Classroom Challenge&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><b>Tracks (Sub-Themes)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Silent Reading and Reading Aloud<\/li>\n<li>Teaching the Reading of Poetry \/ Prose<\/li>\n<li>Text Types and Apt and Effective Reading Strategies<\/li>\n<li>Teaching Reading as a Comprehension Skill<\/li>\n<li>Testing and Evaluating Reading Skills<\/li>\n<li>Reading for Pleasure.<!--more--><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">The conference will comprise:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Symposium<\/li>\n<li>Plenary Sessions<\/li>\n<li>Workshops<\/li>\n<li>Parallel Paper Presentations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Themes for Workshops <\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Developing Reading Skills in Multicultural \/ Multilingual Classes<\/li>\n<li>Using Technology: An Effective Aid to Teaching Reading<\/li>\n<li>Using Textual Contexts to Teach Reading<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Registration fees<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>For domestic participants<\/b>: Rs.1500\/- per participant (up to December 30, 2013).
