Some of the services are\u00a0piktochart.com,\u00a0infogr.am,\u00a0infographicscreator.com,\u00a0create.visual.ly and\u00a0venngage.com.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As the definition says,\u00a0infographics are intended to present complex information in quickly. This function of the\u00a0infographics allows English teachers to use them in the classroom for different language teaching functions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here is a sample\u00a0infographics which depicts English as a world language.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 292px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.jobs.ac.uk\/tefl-journey\/files\/2012\/02\/English-The-World-Language-Infographic-copy.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jobs.ac.uk\/blogs\/tefl-journey\/files\/2012\/02\/English-The-World-Language-Infographic-copy.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"292\" height=\"428\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>English The World Language<\/em> Infographic<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The above\u00a0infographic shares the status of the English language in terms of<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>its speakers, native and non-native<\/li>\n<li>speakers of English as percentage of the world population<\/li>\n<li>usage of English on the web; and<\/li>\n<li>the number of ESL speakers in India.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This is a simple\u00a0infographic showing the status of English. Higher level infographics would have more information combined and presented in interesting manner.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some ways English teachers can utilize infographics in their classrooms.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ask your students to analyse a set of infographics and\u00a0explain it in the class.<\/li>\n<li>Make a group of students and assign them the task of preparing a write-up based on a given infographic.<\/li>\n<li>If your students have access to the Internet, ask them to prepare simple infographics based on short surveys and their knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Engage them in conversational activities keeping an infographic in focus. For example, they can enact an interview scene trying to elaborate the information from the infographic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Use of infographics will help\u00a0develop your students critical thinking and and analytical abilities in addition to the speaking skill.<\/p>\n<p>There can be several other ways one can utilize this tool in the classroom.
