But only recently has it become an accessible tool for day-to-day tasks on our smartphones,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/40473583\/this-strawberry-picking-robot-gently-picks-the-ripest-berries-with-its-robo-hand\">picking strawberries<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/5ec7093c-6e06-11e7-b9c7-15af748b60d0\">predicting crimes<\/a>, and even English Language Teaching!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is Artificial Intelligence?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A good working definition, which applies to the general understanding of AI, is\u00a0<strong>Artificial Intelligence involves machines or computers that work and react like humans do<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The AI that is prevalent in current technology is what we\u2019d call\u00a0<strong>Narrow AI<\/strong>. That is to say it has a narrow focus and is very good at one or two jobs.
