Edutopia’s Ben Johnson has shared an useful article on ‘What\u2019s Your Teacher Reputation?’.<\/p>\n

Johnson says, “In our teaching, we project our brand to our students every day. Teachers are often described by students with one word\u2014as being a teacher who is\u00a0tough, strict, easy, or nice. We garner a reputation based on how we present ourselves and the learning, how we interact with students, and how we manage our classrooms. New teachers discover right away that if they present a brand of \u201crelaxed\u201d or \u201ceasygoing,\u201d managing student behavior can sometimes become problematic.<\/p>\n

We are sometimes surprised to discover how students perceive us. What do you do if you\u2019re not satisfied with the way you\u2019re perceived by others\u2014students or colleagues?
