Teachers are often described by students with one word\u2014as being a teacher who is\u00a0tough, strict, easy, or nice. We garner a reputation based on how we present ourselves and the learning, how we interact with students, and how we manage our classrooms. New teachers discover right away that if they present a brand of \u201crelaxed\u201d or \u201ceasygoing,\u201d managing student behavior can sometimes become problematic.<\/p>\n<p>SURVEY STUDENTS AND COLLEAGUES<\/p>\n<p>We are sometimes surprised to discover how students perceive us. What do you do if you\u2019re not satisfied with the way you\u2019re perceived by others\u2014students or colleagues? How might you address this?
