Vol. 5 Issue 21 – FYI: BC TEAL/TESOL Bursary Scholarship

The BC TEAL/TESOL Bursary was established by BC TEAL and TESOL in 1992 to commemorate the first TESOL Convention held in Vancouver, Canada in 1992.

The BC TEAL /TESOL Bursary is a travel grant for a member in good standing of TESL Canada or a TESOL affiliate. The BC TEAL/TESOL Bursary can be used to cover items such as registration, travel and accommodation costs for attending or participating in the TESOL Annual Convention or a TESL Canada Annual Conference up to a value of $1,000.00 [CAD].

Criteria

All applicants must be members in good standing of TESL Canada or a TESOL affiliate. Applicants must indicate evidence of service to their local/provincial TESL/TEAL association or affiliate. (more…)

Vol. 5 Issue 21 – ‘Mobigam: Language on the move in Gujarat’ – Research training and development workshops, June 2013

Mobigam is a research initiative focusing on the use of mobile technology in Gujarat, India. The name Mobigam is a composite of mobile and gam, a rural area, in Gujarati. The Mobigam project is funded with a Partnership and Mobility Grant from the British Academy.
