The International Association for Language Learning Technology is a professional organization devoted to the advancement, integration, evaluation, and management of instructional technology for the teaching and learning of language, literature and culture. This conference will be of particular interest to all language and culture instructors whether K-12 or post-secondary, to individuals affiliated with a media center or language lab, to developers of language technology, and to individuals interested in any facet of language learning technology. The Language Testing Research Colloquium (LTRC) is the annual conference of the International Language Testing Association (ILTA). The 35th LTRC will be held in Seoul, Korea, from July 3rd (Wednesday) to 5th (Friday), hosted by Seoul National University (SNU).

This research focused on the effects of bilingual instruction on the acquisition of literacy skills of preschoolers. An experimental design was used, with language of instruction as the independent variable and the different literacy skills as dependent variables. The sample consisted of preschool children belonging to an urban poor community in the Philippines.
